Challenge: PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as part of the Defence Transformation Programme, tasked Waves to support their assessment of 2,500 Lieutenant Colonels, Colonels and Brigadiers drawn from each of the four Services within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) Armed Forces and the civil service, for suitability to work at the heart of the KSA’s MOD transformation program. Each assessment is in three parts, an on-line psychometric test, a one-on-one technical competency interview, and a leadership and behavioural competency assessment. Individual assessment outcomes are merged to provide an overall score for each candidate with a recommendation for future employability in the MOD Transformation Program.

Solution: Waves continues to provide Defence Consultancy SME, at point of need, with suitable seniority, SME knowledge and experience to assist in both the technical suitability interview and the leadership and core behavioural competency assessment case studies to meet the dynamic requirements of the project.

Results: In all, Waves is expected to provide 7 Defence Consultant SMEs to the PwC assessment process, interviewing, assessing and reporting upon over 2,000+ Saudi candidates for 57 equivalent weeks from Summer 2017 through to Autumn 18.
